First Entry:

The waves crash against the rocks where I sit, alone with my thoughts.  The seagulls cry out as they swoop down toward the old man pulling in his nets, hoping for an easy meal.  I watch him carefully as he shakes the net, spilling his day’s catch into the bottom of the small wooden vessel.  I pull my knees close to my chest to help break the biting, cold wind as I look across the fjord for one last time.  Tomorrow I will travel back across the ocean, leaving this land I have grown to love.  As the clouds build around the tops of the snow-covered mountains, I look around and wonder, “When will I return to this wonderful country, my family, a place I now also call home?”  A place called Norway.

Each word is perfectly chosen; your words create such rich imagery… I feel like I am by the ocean as the waves are breaking and the old man is taking care of his nets. You have managed to instill a curiosity in this reader-I want to know more about Norway. Lovely…
